Upcoming shows....
Sep. 5th, 2026 11:51 amSo ages ago, I would check out the Fall TV schedule and check for new and returning shows, but now with streaming it's become kind of convoluted but I did try and look for stuff that might interest that is "coming soon" this fall.
Wow this is seriously lacking.
New Shows
First thing up, CBS has Eternally Yours, which premieres October 8, is a supernatural sitcom about a guy learning that his girlfriend and her family are vampires. It looks fun and light-hearted and I think out of "new" CBS line-up I could find, probably be the only one I would check out. Will it probably be cancelled? Knowing my luck, yes. But it's made by people behind Ghosts, so fingers crossed? Anyway I know most of the cast in Eternally Yours, even if I can't actually name them off the top of my head.
As for Disney, there is VisionQuest (October 14) which honestly until I saw the trailer I wasn't really looking forward to it. ( Read more... )
Next up for Disney/Hulu there is Coven Academy (October 1 on freeform/2 next day streaming) which honestly could go either way but I'm giving it a chance, mainly because of the witch element and because of Tiffani Thiessen and Malina Weissman (who played a young Kara on Supergirl). I think I'm missing my supernatural type shows.
I think for NBC, the only one that looks sort of interesting is Line of Fire (September 21) but like... probably once the season is complete. I get tired very quickly of who done its so pretty sure that will be a maybe. But I like that it's focused on a family and Hope Davis is in it - not quite sure who the kids actor-wise are but they seem good. But I also want to put NBC on my shitlist right now for cancelling The Hunting Party (which is fucking bullshit).
Netflix has East of Eden which is a limited series on October 1 which stars the lovely Florence Pugh. I blink and she's doing something else, so I'm going to have to eventually catch up on her other roles. But it looks interesting - I have not read nor heard of the book before; not quite sure if I'll finish it though.
There's apparently a couple different/new shows from the networks (CBS|Prime|HBO|ABC), but they don't have trailers or are in development stage so I'm not sure when or if they are premiering. But it's hard to tell if I would be interested in them since there's not a lot of description for their shows.
Namely, Fox's Baywatch which I had watched when I was much younger, and I did enjoy the movie version. But it also looks like a sequel series, instead of a complete reboot so that will interesting - it does make me want to rewatch the original series.
Returning shows....
Ghosts new episodes are due to premiere on October 29 apparently, I didn't see any trailer for it unless I missed it, but maybe later in the month.
Season 2 of Marshals (October 4) is coming back and I'm excited. So looking forward for more of the cast. And there was a little moment of Kayce & Andrea in the trailer, so my shipper heart was happy.
Season 4 of Tracker (October 4), which I haven't watched or much of Season 3 so I'll probably catch up to it. Honestly I feel like they should do a Tracker/Reacher crossover (I know they would never since it's different stations but like they are oddly similar plus they star former Smallville stars and who oddly both portrayed Aquaman at one point). Ooh I'll have to add some crossovers to
galorechallenge.
Season 5 of Animal Control is premiering on September 27, which yay but also means I apparently to catch Season 4 up.
Doc Season 3 is set to premiere September 22, not sure if I'll watch that or not, I did not finish Season 2 yet (five episodes left).
CW seemed to have died with all the shows I loved on it, which kinda sucks - I don't see anything coming up at all that's not sports or reality shows. Although I did see that Sherlock & Daughter (Discover/CW) had been renewed which I don't remember if I mentioned here or not but I did watch Season 1 and I did enjoy that - I actually thought it had got cancelled so yay for the nice surprise it wasn't.
High Potential Season 3 is supposed to come back eventually so looking forward to that.
What are you guys looking forward to (new or old)?
